Order & Delivery Information

All books are offered for sale subject to availability, as we have several outlets for our products. We do not offer books "on approval". All orders are firm orders.

We are able to take Credit/Debit card payments over the telephone. Just ring us on 01335 330965 with your requirements and we will try and send you your books on the same or next working day.

All items can be paid for immediately through Sagepay or Paypal using a credit card or a debit card. Sagepay and Paypal are very easy to use, secure, completely free and will not incur any additional costs. Your financial information is not shared with us. Once your payment is complete, Sagepay or PayPal will email you a receipt for the transaction. We despatch your item as soon as payment has cleared and will email you with delivery information.

We can also accept cheques (over £20) drawn on UK banks in Sterling. If you choose to pay by cheque, please make it payable to:

If you decide to pay by cheque, please let us know which book(s) you have ordered when you post your letter. We can also take payment by Bank Transfer (BACS). Please contact us for further details. Collection in person is also welcome from the above address. You can also collect from our trade stand at any of the events we attend by prior arrangement.

Postage and Shipping
Some items posted will require a signature on delivery, as we use Royal Mail signed For Service on some items. Other items may be sent Royal Mail 24 or 48. We also use Courier services such as DPD Local for packages weighing over 2Kgs and these will require a signature on receipt.  Postage and Packaging are provided to our customers free of charge. Items are packed with great care. However, in the unlikely event that an item is damaged during transit, please contact us within 2 hours of receiving the item(s). A receipt with full details of your purchase will be included in your parcel, which may be useful for insurance purposes.

INTERNATIONAL CUSTOMERS
The website does not allow international customers to purchase a book, due to the complex nature of postage overseas. If you would like to buy a book or books, please follow this simple procedure.
Email us at lindatinkerrailwaybooks@gmail.com stating which books you would like and confirm your shipping address. We will reserve and weigh the books and email you back with a quote to include postage to your chosen address. If you are happy with this we can either: send you a PayPal invoice for the total amount or you can telephone us with your credit card details. Your order will then be posted as soon as possible. We use Royal Mail Air Mail International Tracked & Signed For Service or UPS. We will require your telephone number to enable couriers to deliver: this is a mandatory requirement of the majority of courier services. For bulk purchases we are happy to arrange specialist courier services.

Returns Policy
As Sellers committed to offering reliable, competent and friendly service, all our items are offered in good faith and described to the best of our knowledge.To ensure clients enjoy risk free shopping, we operate a 100% purchase price money back guarantee if you are unhappy with your purchase. Postage costs cannot be refunded and the buyer must pay return postage costs. You may return an item within 14 days of receiving your goods; prior notice should be given by email. Provided items are returned in good, undamaged condition in the original packaging, the full purchase price will be refunded. Should returned items be found to be damaged, a percentage of the purchase price will be withheld. No returns will be accepted after a period of 14 days in the buyer’s possession. All items should be returned to the above address.
