This book, which charts the life and career of Stephens, draws on articles, many no longer available, first published in the Tenterden Terrier, the house journal of the Kent and Sussex Railway. Although they do not represent a complete biography, these articles do provide a good introduction to both Stephens, the man, and the railways with which he was associated. The authors have drawn on unpublished material from the Colonel Stephens Museum archive at Tenterden, notably the papers of William Henry Austen and James Arthur Iggulden, both key employees of Colonel Stephens, who salvaged material which would otherwise have been destroyed when the offices at Tonbridge were closed in 1948. Very Good Condition. 192pp. 2005, Middleton Press. Laminated pictorial boards, slight shelf wear. Inside in very good condition. Now out of print. QA-IPCP-XGOJ
