  • Colorado On Glass. Colorado's First Half Century as Seen by the Camera (Mangan)

This book is a compilation of the first 50 years of photography in Colorado, as exposed on glass negatives and later produced in solar prints by exposure to the sun. Beautiful sepia-tone illustrations, with a fantastic amount of detail on each book page. Text and examples include the work of William H. Jackson and others – all outstandingly printed in the 416-page volume. Included are 482 views, many of which are railroad scenes, as well as 11 historic full-color prints. A huge amount of wonderful historical photos of Colorado and Colorado Territory. Book includes a significant amount of history, not just of the photographers but of Colorado as well. Third Printing 1980 Sundance Publications. Pictorial boards with original protective acetate cover. Slight wear to board edges. Front hinge cracked and half title page slightly detached. Inside in good condition. Page edges slightly tanned. 406pp. 526-OFB-AOJ
